Engaging in new building of vessels is a major investment. The vessel must be well designed and the shipyard must work according to the ship owner's specifications.

The Consulting Division - a division of ERRIA - has extensive experience in reviewing drawings and supervising new buildings in shipyards in many parts of the World. The Nordic Countries, Eastern Europe as well as the Far East are regions, where we have made sure the ship owner gets what he has ordered.

Aside from the fundamental technical competences that the supervisors must have, the Consulting Division is focussed on employing supervisors with a strong will and ability to work in various cultures. This ensures the results of your new building project.

In November 2005, ERRIA was the first Scandinavian ship owner to order a ship to be build in Vietnam. The order was for a 2900 DWT containership to be built according to Western specifications. Our Consulting Division expects Vietnam to be the next important ship building nation and we have made agreements that ensure capacity for further shipbuilding in the coming years.
